天文观测与计算课程是一门综合性的天文学入门课程。本课程内容包括天文学基础知识的介绍,初级天文观测技能的培训,和利用课程中的观测数据开展的天文学计算这三个部分。我们将引导学生在如今更加先进的观测设备支持下,重温古代天文学家的量天之路,再次见证人类运用自身智慧勘破宇宙规律的无畏与执着。学生将亲身实践获得第一手的天文观测数据,并运用学习到的数学天文学理论知识,计算包括行星轨道,恒星距离和星云寿命等天文学数据,来了解看上去遥不可及的星体。这种理论加实践的综合性学习,在锻炼学生们的科研能力的同时,也充分激发学生们的求知欲与好奇心,最终达到让学生“实践科学方法,体会数理思想,感悟宇宙奥妙”的课程主旨。
The Astronomy Observation and Computation course is a comprehensive introductory course to astronomy. The course includes three parts: an introduction to basic astronomy knowledge, training in basic astronomical observation skills, and astronomy computations using observation data from the course. We will guide students in retracing the ancient astronomers' path to measuring the heavens with more advanced observation equipment available today and witness once again the fearless and persistent use of human intelligence to decipher the laws of the universe. Students will gain first-hand experience with astronomical observation data and use their learned knowledge of mathematical astronomy theory to compute astronomical data such as planetary orbits, stellar distances, and nebulae lifespans, to understand the seemingly unattainable celestial bodies. This comprehensive learning approach combining theory and practice, not only enhances students' scientific research capabilities but also fully stimulates their curiosity and desire for knowledge, ultimately achieving the course's objective of allowing students to ‘practice scientific methods, experience mathematical ideas, and understand the mysteries of the universe’.
