  帆船运动是在适合水域（江、河、湖泊及海洋等），依靠风、浪、流等水文气象因素作用在帆、船体及舵等综合受力，由人操作驾驶达到一定运动状态，是一项集竞技、娱乐、探险于一体的体育运动项目。它具有较高的观赏性，备受人们的喜爱。现代帆船运动已经成为沿海发达国家和地区最为普及的体育活动之一，也是各国人民进行海洋文化交流的重要渠道。教学内容包括帆船运动的历史及文化，帆船构造、分类和级别，航海运动常识，帆船航行基本原理，帆船装备，奥帆赛和竞赛规则以及帆船直线驶操作技术和帆船改变航向操作技术讲解，在掌握帆船构造及组装的前提下，重点对帆船运动原理进行学习，促进学生帆船技术学习，了解帆船文化和规则，能够欣赏高水平帆船比赛。
