This course will take students on a journey into the world of invisible: students will investigate the basic structural and functional units of life - the cells that compose all living organisms. The course covers structure, function and behaviour of cells, the organelles that cells contain, the growth and division of cells, cell death, and how these can be disrupted in disease. This course will help students build understanding of how cells work which is fundamental to many areas of biology and is important to biomedical fields, such as cancer research and biotechnology.
