课程描述： 

生物技术是指人们以现代生命科学为基础，结合先进的工程技术手段和其他基础学科的科学原理，按照预先的设计改造生物体或加工生物原料，为人们生产出所需产品或达到某种目的的一门新兴的、综合的学科。本课程针对低年级生物技术类专业学生开设，课程全面介绍了现代生物技术的概念、原理、研究方法、发展方向及其应用领域。内容涉及基因工程、细胞工程、发酵工程、酶工程、生化工程、蛋白质工程以及这些相关生物技术在农业、医药等领域中的应用，同时还概要介绍了对生物技术的伦理以及生物技术的安全性等。

Biotechnology is a new and comprehensive subject which is based on modern life science, combines advanced engineering technology and other basic scientific principles, remoulds organisms or processes biological raw materials according to pre-design, and produces products for human or achieves a certain purpose. This course is aimed at junior students majoring in life sciences. It introduces the concept, principle, research methods, development direction and application fields of modern biotechnology. It covers the application of gene engineering, cell engineering, fermentation engineering, enzyme engineering, protein engineering, and application of biotechnology in agriculture, medicine and other fields.
