Haide College of Ocean University of China is an international joint school approved by the Ministry of Education.  It is an important fruit of international cooperation between Ocean University of China and the University of Adelaide,which are two well-known universities in China and Australia. It is also an important platform for Ocean University of China to promote the construction of a first-class university, improve the quality of talent training and promote international cooperation.

The construction goal of Haide College is to pool the high-quality educational resources of China and Australia, highlight the characteristics of running schools, train high-level innovative talents with international vision and the ability to participate in international affairs and international competition, and strive to build the college into a model Chinese-foreign cooperative education institution.

Therefore, for Haide students, I hope you:

Love our motherland. We should closely link our ideals with the future of our motherland and unite our lives with the destiny of our nation, take root in our people and devote ourselves to our country.

Aim for the highest. Those who do not seek easy things can succeed, and those who do not avoid difficulties can make progress. You should have firm ideals, keep your beliefs, dare to blaze new trails, form a tenacious spirit and never give up.

Seek the truth. Ask only right and wrong, regardless of interest. You should bravely explore the mysteries, laws of nature and human society.

Mind the world. You should adhere to the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind, cultivate high-level and compound innovative talents with international vision and scientific leadership.

Ocean Embraces Streams All, and Virtue Spreads Over the World. Life is limited, but knowledge is unlimited. I place my hopes for Haide’s future on you-dear young Haide students. I hope that the sun will shine with the times.
