A faculty delegation from Adelaide University visited the teaching spaces of Haide College to deepen high-quality teaching collaboration

To deepen the connotation of Sino-foreign cooperative education and promote the sharing of high-quality educational resources, afaculty delegation of Adelaide University visited Haide College, conducting inspections and communications about teaching facilities and practical training bases.

Firstly, the delegation visited Haide Building, the core teaching area of Haide College at the West Coast Campus. Accompanied by Dong Ping, the Deputy Dean of Academic Affairs, the foreign faculty members gained a detailed understanding of the construction philosophy and functional layout of the Haide Building during their visit to the multifunctional classrooms and smart teaching spaces on the first to third floors. After that, the delegation reached the fourth and fifth floors, where they examined the professional laboratories and faculty offices and expressed their recognition ofthe high-standard infrastructure and research enabling conditionsof Haide College.

After the visit to the Haide Building, the delegation headed for the library of the West Coast Campus, where they learned about the library’s literature resource construction and shared learning spaces. Following that, the delegation entered the laboratory of the Collegeof Food Science and Engineering, listened carefully to the introduction of the overall construction of the laboratory, the configuration of large instruments and equipment, and their application in teaching and research, and exchanged cutting-edge research directions in the field of food technology with teachers and students on scene.

Subsequently, the delegation went to the teaching practice base of Haide College, the Huadong Winery production base, for field inspection, where they gained a systematic understanding of the history, culture, cultivation characteristics of major grape varieties, product categories, features, market distribution, and modern production processes of Huadong Winery. Engineers of Huadong Winery especially highlighted the company’s development history, from the arduous exploration in the early stages of entrepreneurship to its gradual establishment of industry benchmarks, and introduced its representative dry red and dry white wine products. The delegation also went deep into the underground wine cellar to observe the aging environment and storage technology of wine on site. Both parties committed in-depth exchanges on the previous cooperation and students’on-site learning situation, and put forward constructive suggestions for future cooperative teaching, laying the foundation for the continuous optimization of the college’s future practical teaching.

This visit is focused on teaching facilities and internship practice bases, enabling teachers from Adelaide University to have a comprehensive understanding of the educational conditions and environment of Haide College and its partner institutions. This further solidified the foundation of cooperation between the two parties in areas such as talent cultivation, scientific research collaboration, and cultural integration.
