On the morning of November 6th, the inauguration ceremony of Haide Lab was held at the Laoshan Campus. Ma Yuhong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Haide College, Wang Fulong, Deputy Director of the State-owned Assets and Laboratory Management Department, and Bao Mutai, Associate Dean of the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, attended the ceremony. Dong Ping, Associate Dean of Haide College, presided over the ceremony.
Firstly, Ma Yuhong opened the ceremony by extending a warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude to the faculty and students in attendance. In her speech, she stated that since its establishment, Haide College has always upheld a positive and enterprising spirit, strived to fulfill its mission of talent cultivation in the new era, and achieved remarkable success. The college attaches great importance to experiments, internships and practical teaching, and actively promotes laboratory construction. Leveraging its strengths in international cooperative education and drawing on the advanced laboratory construction and management practices of top universities like The University of Adelaide, the Haide Lab was built as a standardized and professional facility. This achievement was made possible with strong support from the State-owned Assets and Laboratory Management Department, colleges such as the College of Marine Life Sciences and the College of Food Science and Engineering, as well as the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
Next, Wang Fulong congratulated the completion and inauguration of Haide Lab. He noted that the State-owned Assets and Laboratory Management Department witnessed the construction process of Haide Lab from scratch and highly praised the efforts made by Haide College to build such a standardized and specialized experimental platform.
Finally, the guests present jointly unveiled the plaque for Haide Lab, and Ma Yuhong officially announced its inauguration.
After the ceremony, the attending faculty and students visited and inspected the laboratory of Haide Lab together. The staff of it provided a comprehensive and detailed explanation of its environmental renovation, cultural development, and course operation, fully demonstrating the highlights and achievements of its construction. During the visit, attendees fully affirmed the results of its construction, and recognized its philosophy of integrating experimental and environmental education.
Representatives of teachers and students from the College of Food Science and Engineering, the College of Marine Life Sciences, and Haide College participated in the event.
