Campus News Flash |The special lecture on Improving Journalism and Publicity Literacy of Haide College was successfully held

In order to improve students' writing ability and photo shooting ability, and do a good job in news and publicity work, HaideCollege held a special lecture on improving news and publicity quality in the Chinese lecture Hall of Xingzhi Building on the afternoon of April 6, 2023. Li Huachang, Editor-in-Chief of the News Center of Ocean University of China, was invited to give the lecture. Guan Xuan, counselor of HaideCollege, attended the lecture. All the students of the second Qingma Project training course of HaideCollege and all members of the New Media Center of HaideCollege attended the lecture.

In the lecture, Li Huachang explained to the students how to write a high-quality and standardized press release based on the main line of Writing methods and requirements of news. He took the format of news as an example to introduce the characteristics, formats and precautions of news writing, and illustrated it vividly with the examples of several press releases issued by the College. He pointed out that press releases should be authentic and accurate, including accurate and rigorous data processing and filling, scientific and objective evaluation of scientific and academic achievements, and standardized use of proper nouns.

In addition to writing a great press release, the shooting and selection of images are equally important. Li Huachang concluded that the news picture is the documentary of the scene, should pay attention to the sense of the scene, and strive to show a comprehensive, outline. In order to achieve this effect, we can start from three aspects: first, figure pictures clearly show the subject and subject, and show the good image of important figures; Second, the pictures of the venue reflect the theme and highlight the key points; Third, pay attention to the overall balance when taking a group photo. Immediately, Li Huachang commented a large number of press releases with pictures, with experience to supplement a lot of shooting skills, various aspects, multidimensional explanation of various picture requirements.

Li Huachang's presentation was simple and easy to understand, integrating knowledge, interest and practicality. The students listened with relish and took notes carefully, and gained a lot.
