In order to further study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, inherit the red genes, and promote the Yimeng spirit, some students of Haide College's second phase Young Horse Project training class went to Linyi to carry out a theme study tour on Learning, Thinking, Practicing and Understanding the 20th National Congress, and Youth Striving for a New Journey.
First Stop - Menglianggu Battle Memorial Hall
Two buildings shaped like red triangular flags are embedded with densely packed shells. In front of the building is a sculpture that embodies the heroic deeds of the revolutionary predecessors, and behind the building lies a large area of land where the souls of the martyrs rest - all of which symbolize the fierceness of the battle in 1947.
With a solemn and respectful mood, the students followed the guide into the memorial hall. The guide introduced the severe domestic situation at that time and the revolutionary deeds of the predecessors who sacrificed their lives and shed their blood for the revolution in three parts: the battle of Menglianggu, the people's army as the foundation of victory, and the strong will with multiple sacrifices. The victory of the Menglianggu Battle was a song of triumph written with the full support of local party organizations, local armed forces, and the masses, and it wrote a brilliant chapter in the liberation war, erecting an eternal monument on the land of China.
By reviewing the glorious history of the Menglianggu Battle, the students deeply remembered the great achievements of the revolutionary pioneers and the historical merits of the broad masses of soldiers and civilians, and sincerely commemorated the heroic deeds and touching achievements of the revolutionary martyrs, receiving great inspiration and motivation.
Second Stop - Yimeng Red Film and Television Base
Gao Keting, the former secretary of the Communist Party of China Shandong Provincial Committee who lived and fought in the anti-Japanese base areas for a long time, once said that during the Anti-Japanese War, the center of Shandong was Yimeng, the center of Yimeng was Yinan, and the center of Yinan was Changshan. For the second part of the study tour, the students came to the Yimeng Red Film and Television Base located in Changshan Village, Mamuchi Township, Yinan County, the center of the Yimeng anti-Japanese base area and the birthplace of the Yimeng spirit. Through on-site visits and immersive experiences, they truly felt the connotation of the Yimeng spirit and the Red Women's Spirit. They learned about figures like Mingde Ying who saved wounded soldiers with breast milk, Wang Huan who risked her life to save the Joint Conference Proceedings of Shandong Province, the Yimeng Six Sisters who built a bridge with their bodies in the icy river, as well as countless Yimeng people...
Yimeng, this red land, has given birth to numerous heroes and heroines who have written a glorious chapter of loving the party, loving the army, and selfless dedication in the revolutionary history, enabling the students to experience the strong baptism of the red spirit. It brought tears to their eyes and inspired them to move forward.
Third Stop - Zhongquan Village
The last stop of the themed study tour is Zhongquan Village, which is known as one of the Ten Most Beautiful Villages in China. The village is surrounded by springs and bamboo, with the villagers living around the springs. The folk culture and historical traditions are embedded in the mountain and water village, and the natural environment and human settlements are perfectly combined. The students can immerse themselves in the unique folk culture and local customs of Yimeng, and further feel the charm of this red land.
In this themed study tour of Learning, Thinking, Practicing, and Understanding the 20th National Congress, Youth Advancing in a New Era, the students traced the footsteps of the revolution, recalled the red years, and understood the essence of Yimeng Spirit. The Yimeng Spirit of blending like water and milk, living and dying together is the embodiment of the shared spiritual temperament of the Communist Party of China and the people. It contains the red genes inherited by Communist Party members and the unwavering initial mission. Through this study tour, the students further strengthened their ideals and beliefs, enhanced their sense of national pride and mission. The students expressed their determination to inherit the red genes under the guidance of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, tell good Chinese stories, and aspire to be a new era of young people with ideals, courage, resilience, and dedication, so that their youth can flourish in the fiery practice of building a modern socialist country in an all-round way.
