1、 Personal Profile

Ding Zhenan, a probationary member of the Communist Party of China, is a 2020 undergraduate student majoring in mathematics and applied mathematics at HaideCollege of Ocean University of China. He has won national scholarships (2 times), first class scholarships (2 times) and outstanding students. For two consecutive years, the academic performance ranked first in the major, and the comprehensive test results ranked first in the major. He has won 12 national awards, including the gold medal of the National Undergraduate Olympic Mathematical Contest, the second prize of the National Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Contest of the Higher Education Society Cup, published an EI paper, participated in two SRDP projects as a core member, participated in one Shandong Natural Science Foundation project, and was awarded the outstanding individual of the 2021 Top Ten Figures science and technology competition of HaideUniversity. He is currently the chairman of the High Performance Computing Club of Ocean University of China, the chairman of the Student Self management Committee of HaideUniversity, and the member of Class 1 of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics in 2020.

2、 Learning experience sharing

I ranked first in my major in academic performance for two consecutive years, and ranked first in many professional courses. In the past two years, my average academic score was 92.68, GPA3.88, and my score in 32 courses was 90+, and my score in 12 courses was full.

I think mathematics learning focuses on understanding ideas, analyzing principles and clarifying logic. The mathematics discipline itself contains a large amount of knowledge and profound mathematical thoughts. At the undergraduate stage, we should pay more attention to a solid foundation and let our thoughts roam in the deep sea of mathematics. We should learn from the essence of theorems and formulas that have gathered the essence of our predecessors' thoughts, and also exercise our logical thinking in a professional course. At the same time, learning mathematics can not rush, but to understand the essence of ideas in the learning content, which is far more helpful than pursuing the so-called learning efficiency. In addition, as Haidestudents, we must actively interact with foreign teachers in all English teaching, which can not only broaden our academic horizon, but also enable us to learn new thinking patterns.

While learning professional courses well, I hope to broaden my horizon and have interdisciplinary ability. For this reason, I obtained 18 credits for general education courses in two years in school, and actively learned knowledge from different disciplines in the SRDP project, covering big data, computer vision, climatology, quantum computing, theoretical physics, law and other fields. In addition, I also independently studied the artificial intelligence micro major of Shandong University and obtained a professional certificate.

3、 Scientific research and competition

During the two years in school, I bravely climbed the peak and constantly tried to break through myself; Uprightness and innovation, refining ability in scientific innovation. I have actively participated in many competitions. I have won the gold medal of the first National Undergraduate Olympic Mathematical Contest, the first prize of the 19th May Day Mathematical Modeling Contest, the first prize of the third Huashu Cup National Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Contest, the second prize of the 2022 Higher Education Society Cup National Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Contest, the second prize of the 13th National Undergraduate Mathematical Contest (Mathematics Class A), the second prize of the 12th MathorCup College Mathematical Modeling Challenge There were 12 national awards and 3 provincial awards, including the second prize of the 12th Shandong Undergraduate Mathematics Competition (Mathematics Group A), the second prize of the 13th Shandong Undergraduate Physics Competition (Class B). I was also awarded the outstanding individual in the 2021 Top Ten People Science and Technology Competition of HaideCollege.

I am willing to explore and devote myself to scientific research. As a core member, I participated in SRDP projects such as Statistical Modeling of the Impact of Adverse Meteorological Factors on Air Pollution in Shandong Province, 3D Measurement of Indoor Environment and UAV Positioning Based on ArUco Marks, and completed high-quality data processing, model building, programming and other work. At present, I have started to write relevant papers. At the same time, he participated in the Natural Science Foundation of Shandong Province project High precision numerical calculation and fine simulation research of atmospheric environment aerosol prediction to study the numerical solution of convection diffusion equation and its MPI parallelism.

For most people, participating in competitions may be a temporary interest, while participating in scientific research is more about the accumulation of future development. Whether it is competition or scientific research, we need to pay a lot of time and energy. I believe that once you have made up your mind to participate in scientific research, you cannot give up easily. We should plan our time rationally. We should not delay our study because of competitions and scientific research, nor should we compress our rest time for this purpose. In addition, for students who are interested in scientific research, I suggest that we should contact teachers in relevant directions as soon as possible, take the initiative to create opportunities and keep closer to our dreams.

In the preparation and participation experience of many competitions, and in the repeated experience of scientific research projects, I am more and more able to face the failure, be indomitable, and also calm, arrogant and impetuous. Adhering to the scientific research spirit of Hai University, I will continue to actively explore, innovate and make progress in the boundless sea of learning.

4、 Work and Practice

In this academic year, I actively participated in social practice activities to cultivate my moral character and refine myself in practice. I am enthusiastic about volunteering and have worked 100+h. During the winter vacation, I participated in the Luka special volunteer teaching activities. As a member of the Mumian teaching team of HaideCollege of Ocean University of China, I completed a total of 80 class hours of mathematics tutorship. At the beginning and end of the semester, I also served as a volunteer student aid in HaideCollege, tutoring students in subjects such as ordinary differential equations, numerical methods, optimization and operations research, with a cumulative working time of 50+h.

At the same time, as the first pioneers of HaideCollege, I deeply understand my responsibilities and have been doing my best in student work. Now, as the chairman of the student self-management committee of HaideCollege, I am committed to giving full play to the role of the committee in student self-management, adhering to the construction and development concept of courtesy, morality, law, elegance, immersion, cultivation, fumigation and education of the college system of HaideCollege, promoting the all-round development and growth of students, and striving to become a burden bearer for teachers and a service provider for students.

In addition, with a strong interest in parallel computing, I joined the University's High Performance Computing Club, and continued to explore and grow. Now, as the head of the club, I am committed to providing a window for Master Hai students to learn about supercomputing, use supercomputing, and love supercomputing, and strive to build an exchange platform and learning center for supercomputing knowledge.

5、 Summary and Message

Looking back on the past two years, I have been confused, despairing, struggling and determined. For a long time, I have always taken Heaven is healthy, and a gentleman is always striving for self-improvement; the terrain is Kun, and a gentleman is always carrying things with great virtue as my life motto. Everyone's youth is the fruit of self struggle. I firmly believe that there will always be rewards for their efforts.
