Zhang Jiayi, a 2021 undergraduate majoring in biotechnology at HaideCollege of Ocean University of China. He has won the National Scholarship, the First Class Scholarship of the University, the Excellent Student and other honorary titles of the University. Excellent performance and all-round development, with academic performance ranking second in the class and comprehensive test score ranking first in the class; He was the champion of the debate freshman competition of HaideCollege and the best debater in the whole process. As a member of the debate team of the college, he participated in the debate freshman competition on behalf of the college; As the person in charge, he carried out SRDP research and investigated the virus abundance in China's offshore waters. He is currently the head of the Student Union Office of Ocean University of China, and the League secretary of Class 1 Biotechnology Class 2021.

01 Thought and work

In terms of ideology, I deeply studied various policies of the Party, passed the test of the Party organization and became a probationary member of the Communist Party of China.   As the head of the Student Union Office, I actively participated in the study of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China organized by the school, and kept close to the Party organization in ideology, making progress.

02 Learning

In terms of learning, I have excellent results and learned well. My learning strategy is to invest more energy in subjects with high credits, and work harder in subjects that are difficult to understand, such as science and professional courses. Our average score is composed of weighted credits of different subjects, so we should reasonably allocate learning time and energy to make learning more efficient.

In my opinion, preview before class and review before final exam are the most important. Reading the textbook before class can give you a preliminary understanding and grasp of the learning content, and help you to learn new knowledge purposefully. For the systematic review before the final exam, I will read the textbook again and do the previous year's topics, and extract the knowledge points I have made mistakes, and then go back to the textbook for comparative study. The focus of the final exam is basically unchanged, and it is easier to achieve ideal results in the exam through this way of finding and filling gaps.

03 Comprehensive development

While giving consideration to my studies, I also pay attention to the improvement of my comprehensive quality. In my spare time, I participated in the New Year Debate Competition of HaideCollege and won the title of champion and best debater; As the main member of the debate team, I participated in the freshman competition and recruitment performance competition on behalf of the college. Debate is a hobby for me to learn how to speak. In the process of debate, I learned how to express my views, but also jumped out of the comfort zone of thinking, thinking from different perspectives.

During the summer vacation, I participated in the Yellow River harnessing project of the Liaocheng River Basin in the Three Visits to the Countryside, which was recommended as a key project by the college. After a year of continuous understanding, as the team leader in my sophomore year, I followed Mr. Guo Cui to carry out research on the SRDP project, with the research direction of China's offshore virus abundance. 03 Comprehensive development

In the twinkling of an eye, it has been more than a year since I came to Haidian University. Compared with my ignorance when I first entered the university, I have gradually become familiar with the life and rhythm of the university. In the process of learning knowledge and exercising ability, I have been moving towards the goal of knowledge seeking and development. If you want to go further, you should take every step at present. When we travel far away, we will never be lazy. We are all moving towards the distant place with wind and rain.
