1、 Personal Profile

Leng Jiaqi, a 2020 undergraduate majoring in mathematics and applied mathematics in HaideCollege of Ocean University of China. He has won the H Prize of the American Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Contest, the provincial first prize of the National Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Contest, the third prize of the Asia Pacific National Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Contest, and the second prize of the Huashu Cup National Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Contest. Preside over SRDP as project leader.

2、 Learning experience sharing

There are two main ways for me to learn as a whole. The first is independent learning based on task driving. I think that by independently completing one learning task, you can ensure your proficiency in a certain knowledge point or skill, not just stay at the stage of I understand, but also get a sense of achievement from completing the task and generate greater motivation to move forward. The second kind is team cooperation learning. For example, when we participate in mathematical modeling competitions or complete group work on weekdays, we form a fixed group. In the daily accumulation, all people can make progress together, and have better understanding and higher quality achievements when completing tasks.

Specifically, in terms of professional courses, I regard homework as a task. After the teacher assigned the homework, I will try my best to finish it, so that I can finish the task in time. Especially for the class report assignments in the introduced classes, I don't have to worry about not catching up with ddl at all. Instead, I can save a lot of free time for the review and reinforcement of professional courses, scientific research competitions or practical activities.

In terms of scientific research competitions, I usually divide a mathematical modeling competition or other scientific research projects into some specific and clear stages, and then formulate plans in more detail, define the tasks to be completed next and strictly follow the plans. One thing to note is that you should choose competitions or arrange preparation plans according to your own interests, so that you can avoid the situation where you can't start.

3、 Social practice activities

In the past year, I served as the head of the academic department of the student union of HaideCollege and the member of the class psychology committee. I organized and filmed the HaideCollege psychological drama Romeo No More, won the second prize in the school psychological drama competition, and won the fifth place in the School Day Cup group competition with the badminton team of HaideCollege.

I am very grateful to all my classmates and teammates who worked with me. It is my honor to face difficulties and gain happiness with all of you.

4、 Future outlook

For me, the most profound feeling of winning the National Scholarship is that no matter what difficulties we are facing, we should take a long-term view as far as possible. Many of the difficulties that I felt were very great when I first met them were not so great after they were solved. What is really important is to be able to recall this full and happy time at any time in the future.

For students, no matter how the process is, they need to be patient, be positive on their own development path. There is no need to worry too much about the immediate gains and losses. Instead, they need to choose the right path, be steady and realistic. I believe that they will succeed in the end.
