On April 10, 2025, Haide College held a seminar on enhancing the quality of Sino-foreign joint courses in Meeting Room 512. More than twenty teachers from the University of Adelaide and Ocean University of China engaged in in-depth discussions focused on the introduction of international advanced teaching and cooperation for improvement.

Prof. Dong began by warmly welcoming and expressing gratitude to the visiting faculty from the University of Adelaide for delivering in-person lectures. She emphasized that face-to-face teaching and exchange by international faculty is an important form of international teaching for students, as well as a good opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with the Australian teaching model and accelerate their development. Moreover, these visits create an excellent platform for collaborative teaching and academic dialogue between Chinese and international teachers. Following this, Dr. Yu Fanqianhui, Director of Academic Affairs Office, provided a detailed interpretation of teaching requirements, which deepened mutual understanding of the differences between Chinese and foreign teaching approaches, laid a solid foundation for closer future collaboration and the effective integration and application of international advanced teaching practices at Haide College.

During the free discussion session, Chinese and international faculty engaged in lively exchanges on various topics, including course optimization, academic English improvement, formative assessment, and the application of emerging AI technologies. Through the sharing of diverse perspectives, consensus was reached on several fronts, significantly strengthening communication and cooperation among co-teaching faculty members from both sides.
