主要从事海洋微生物的培养、分子遗传及生理功能等研究,重点关注深海热液区和冷泉区微生物的分离培养、生理功能及其在生物地球化学循环中的作用。以第一或通讯作者发表SCI论文30余篇,主持国家自然科学基金面上项目2项和青年基金1项,山东省青年基金1项承担国家重点研发计划项目、山东联合基金、国家自然科学基金重点基金、国家973等多项国家级科研课题。
